OK, so I DON'T come here very often anymore.
What's new...
Lessee...
I've quit the anti-depressants. I had a rather tiring time of it, but it seems as though the worst has past. Strangely enough,..the quitting nicotine, and not drinking alcohol like it is going out of style have been a pretty smooth transition. As I suspected the synergism with the EffexorXR heightened my addictability to other drugs (nicotine, alcohol) that have a model of tolerance, dependence, etc...
In short, the dizzyness of the anti-depressant has all but worn off. In it's wake I find I am not AS addicted to other chemicals.
For those of you going off of your prescribed anti-depressants I offer this sage advice (albeit anecdotal)...
1) Don't do this w/o your doc knowing about it. If he/she doesn't seems concerned/interested fire them and get another.
2) Caffein and otc analgesics seems to help a lot. Also I found that eating 6 meals a day seemed to make me feel better.
3) Ween off. Don't just drop it. I went from ( a relatively LOW dose of) 75Mg of Effexor XR to 37 Mg for three months.

You may ask yourself, Why did doombilly quit his anti-depressant?
And I might answer, I didn't ever plan on being Rx'd 4 life. I just needed training wheels to get over the whole rejection-situational-Anschluss-self hate-issues.
So I probably won't post as much as I had back a year ago. But then I don't think anyone was really holding their breath between posts.
I spend a lot more time on Tribe.net.
Cheers.
